07-25-2021 Heart Walls and Depression

I really believe that part of depression stems from heart wall blocks.  When we experience past traumas or betrayals, it's natural to form these energetic walls of protection around our hearts to protect ourselves.  The problem is that these walls not only block other people from harming us, but they also block our ability to deeply connect with another person and block our ability to connect with divine source energy.

When we focus on sending our love to something like a beloved pet, plant, or a grandchild, it gives the opportunity for that nutritional flow to enter into us.  I think of it like creating a small hole in a dam.  The more holes we create, and the more we use and open up those holes sending out our love, the greater the possibility of that dam giving way and breaking down, allowing love and joy to be sent and received more easily as the flood rushes in.

People who suffer from depression often isolate themselves and spend time worrying and concerned about themselves in an effort to try to protect themselves.  Doing the opposite can really help, which isn't easy to do when you're in it.  The more time that can be spent around other people though, or even time spent connecting with nature, the more focus shifts from the self to others, and the more chance of love energy breaking through those heart walls clearing away the dark, dusty, cobwebs of depression.

Perhaps taking time to send your love outward to someone or something today can help your day and theirs be delightful.  May your mind be at peace, and may you have joy!
