7-11-2021 The Secret to a Great Interview or Audition

I learned something very valuable from Richard Gordon the author of “Quantum-Touch 2.0 The New Human.”  He said that the trick to an interview or an audition is to expand your heart energy.  It makes total sense.  Would you want to higher the guy who comes in for an interview all quiet and closed off, or the gal who seems too much into herself?  Probably not.  You’d probably pick that person who seems radiant and overflowing with love and joy.  These are the people with the intangible “it” factor.  They are magnetic.

But what if you’re totally unqualified for the job.  Well, that happens sometimes.  I think of Norman Reedus who auditioned for the television series “The Walking Dead.”  He really wasn’t a fit for any of the characters in the script, but everyone really liked him and wanted to work with him.  They made up a character just for him.  And while many of the other characters have died off during the series, he’s still alive and well.

So if you really want a job or particular future, take time to envision yourself having it while feeling all the emotions you would have if you did get the job.  Then during your interview, instead of thinking of yourself, worrying if there’s something in your teeth, or trying desperately to convince everyone you’re the best greatest thing since Jesus walked on water, try sending out as much heart energy and love as you can to everyone.  You might be totally surprised with the great response you get and have a lot more fun in your interviews.
