Patriotic Yogurt

This dish seems patriotic to me because of the red, white, and blue from the cherries, banana, and blueberries.  I start with a couple of super large spoonfuls of plain yogurt.  Use as much as you like, but make sure it's plain not vanilla or other flavors which have lots of sweetners added.  Now I add Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder and cinnamon to taste and stir it up.  Sometimes I even add vanilla extract.  It kind of reminds of a chocolate cheesecake at this point. 

Now toss in your sliced banana, cherries, and blueberries, or whatever fruit you like.  Next I add my pecans and walnuts.  I also love adding unsweetened shredded coconut because it reminds me of a banana cream pie like this.  So now I've got the banana cream pie chocolate cheesecake thing going on.  Very delicious and super satisfying!  You won't go to bed hungry after eating this.

My basic:
Plain Lowfat Yogurt (Greek is great!)
Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
Unsweetened Shredded Coconut

Other things I've added and tried:

Cacoa Nibs (Raw bits of unprocessed chocolate)
Vanilla extract
Almond Slivers
Oats (uncooked)
